CE Engine Code Value
It has the proper numbers to be 1967 CE L-79 motor. The motor is pretty fresh 12 to 13k and runs great, I believe it was built to spec. because it loves High OCTANE fuel and really motivates the car even with the 3.36 gears, has that lopey idle just like the old days,, verified by my dad who owned a NEW 63' convertible 340hp solid lifter vette. He said they sound the same. 93 octane really doesn't work unless the timing is dialed back to where the car gets sluggish and jerky. Just add octane boost and some timing and YEEE HAW. Your thoughts appreciated..

If the block just came from a shelf or a buddies garage and you have nothing to show that this is even realted to the ealry history of the car, then I would not think it would have much value. I blew the CE block in my C2 and years ago and did not care because my car was a theft recovery and there was no "history" associated with it.
Note that the components on the block could be original for your car. If the block was replaced under warranty, they would likely have swapped the heads, intake, etc. to the new short block. If you think that these peices are original, then there is value that could be destroyed in a catastrophic engine failure...
