My 9 leaf spring is starting to sag in my 63 Roadster. I am thinking of possibly replacing it with a Mono Spring. There appear to be two springs available; one from TRW and one made by VBP. I would be interested in experiences/recommendations regarding these springs.

Muskegon manufactures the TRW design & has the best price. I installed the (trw)composite spring 3 years ago, as a do it yourself winter project, on my 66 B/B,very satisfied >>>rides , handles great & no bouncing............it takes approx 40 lbs off >>> .need to check my paperwork but thing i have the 330 lb unit... also removed the spare & complete carrier assembly, to reduce wieght as I have AAA auto membership that includes 100 mile towing> beware >> the purist will be adviseing you that it is a sin to change your vette from the model A Ford design sping...I am only saying it worked for me...the Dog
The 75 I just bought has one that was installed by a PO. The car rides and handles really well, so I am considering installing a similar spring on my 67. The 67 has a HD 7 leaf, and the ride is harsh to say the least.

You absolutely sure it's the spring? When was the last time the four rubber spring link cushions were replaced?
Don't know?
Okay, are they compressed and hard as rocks? The solution to your "problem" may be four new cushions - about ten bucks - and an hour or so to replace! Not only will they restore ride height, but you will be amazed a the new lack of ride harshness!
i also went with the vpandb 330 lb. glass spring .
the ride became bouncy to say the least.
after talking with vp, they said spring should be used with gas shocks. after install of bilsteins, the ride was 100% better.
much smoother than w/steel spring.
hope this doesn't change your mind. it was a big improvment.

I have the 330 lb spring also (on my 66) &, No bouncing....I removed the spare & carrier assembly , possibly the wieght factor ?? & I have Monroe radial tuned shocks ..............again not even a slight bounce.............the Dog
Just another data point...... If you take your car to Guldstrand in southern California (one of the premier suspension guys), their advice will be to use a steel spring. If you take it to Northstar Automotive in northern California (a shop run by a veteran Corvette autocrosser), he will also say use the steel spring.
