Should I replace U-joints?
I am changing the drive shaft in my C2. It's a long story, but my 4 spd trans is leaking through the rear seal as a result (*I think*) of the current drive shaft being too short. The u-joints are new... do I need to replace/re-grease them when I change the drive shaft?

The c2 driveshaft normally has .25-.5 inch of trans tail shaft yoke extended when bolted up. If yours is extended farther, it's probably wrong.
Check the brass bushing in the tail housing for excessive wear - usually indicated by excessive tailshaft yoke play and/or excessive wear on the yoke. You can replace the trans seal when the yoke is pulled (keep the tail high or lube will flow) but it will wear fast if the bushing is bad.
Pull the caps off the ujoint and wipe the cross. If the cross does not have needle bearing grooves/dents in it from the cap needles, just grease it and go. Replace it otherwise.
I have seen yokes lose their end plug. If the yoke sline hole is open to the driveshaft, It will leak hard, and look like a seal leak.

Thanks magicv8. My drive shaft is too short. Have a replacement on the way. Only have 500 miles on the existing trans and drive train. All looks good excpet leaky trans. Hate to replace/re-work u-joints this new... oh well.
