Fuel Injection Help Needed
I bought a unit advertised as a 4900 unit - which would be appropriate for a low hp 59. The Rochester label identifies it as a 4900 unit as well. I purchased the correct 915 distributor too.
Upon close visual inspection, the air meter (#7014922) has a faintly stamped "7017301" on it. The fuel meter (#7014781) has a "252" stamped on it.
If I am reading the literature right, the air and fuel meters are wrong for a 4900 unit. The air meter should be on a 59-60 low hp 7300R unit or a high hp 7300 unit. The fuel meter should be on a 59-62 high hp 7250, 7320 or 7355 unit. Do I have this right?
Will this unit work on my low hp 59 with powerglide? I guessing the air meter might be okay since Chevy used this air meter on low hp cars in 59-60. But the fuel meter has me worried - Chevy only used it on high hp cars.
I plan to have a skilled mechanic put this on my car. And if need be, I can send the unit to an expert for calibration.
Thanks for your help.

I sent Jerry a lengthy email last nite explaining the problem. Jerry and I have swapped a number of messages since. Looks like the unit will work fine - I am going to send the unit to Jerry to work out the issues.
Jerry's great.
