I've owned my 67 since 1973. Anyone else claim longevity?

I have some friends with 57 Corvettes.

The first in MI bought his in 1975
Another in NY bought his in 1959.
The other in IL/FL bought his new in 1957! (A fuelie, too!)

As for me, I bought my 57 in 1991 from the original owner's widow.

I've owned my '62 since 1967 (37 years)
Bud #1 owned HIS '62 since 1963 (41 years)
Bud #2 owned his '60 since 1962 (42 years)
Guy up the street wanted to buy mine 25 years ago; I didn't want to sell. Next year he bought EXACTLY the same '62 (24 years)
Guy down the street bought his '63 in 1968 (36 years)
Total # of years 5 of us owned the same Vette: 180 years!

Purchased my first C-2 a 67' Vert in 1970. Sold it a year and a half later to purchase a C-3, 69' Coupe. Have owned two more C-3's since which includes my 73' Coupe since 1981. My current C-2, 67'Coupe since 2002 replaces my 67' Vert that I am still kicking myself for selling back in 1971. I haven't been without either a C-2 or C-3 Corvette for the last 34 years if that counts for anything.

well, I just got my first Vette, my '65 coupe back in March of this year (March '04) so I'm a "newbie" compared to most of the rest of you but i've been dreaming of one since I was 12 which was around 1977 - does that count?
