If you buy the kit from someone like Doc Rebuild (www.docrebuild.com) it comes with a diagram and the number correct for a 64. It's probably 6 piece.

The main ones I remember are 2 large grounding straps in front of the rear wheels that attach to the frame and two smaller ones that attach to the exhaust.

See Longi Island Corvette's web site, page http://www.licorvette.com/pdfcatalogfiles/cat22/53.pdf. They sell them by the kit and also list them individually as far as where they are installed.

They're all shown in great detail in the U69 (radio) section in the Assembly Manual; there are none in front of the rear wheels.

Then what are those straps that connect from the body to the frame in front of the rear wheels?

Those are reinforcing cables that anchor the underbody seat belt reinforcements to the frame.

Default Grounding straps on a '64

C2 Husker

I bought complete new wiring harnesses and grounding straps for my '64. The grounding straps come with an installation diagram. Email me if you still need an illustration, give me your fax or mailing address and I'll send you a copy.
