I put Lectric Limited dated repro wires on my '67 327/300 and on my '69 Z/28 several years ago, and they work just fine; for other non-original project cars, I use MSD Heli-Core wires. I get the "universal" set, and custom-cut each wire (with the tool that comes in the kit) after routing and clipping them neatly; can't stand to see the spaghetti mess of iridescent bright-colored too-long wires you see on most cars at shows - it's not that hard to do it right so it looks neat.
You can get 8mm Black wires from Jegs or other dealers currently I have Taylors on mine and they fit the length required for the the shielded routing. I just went and pulled the receipt 47.99 p/n TAY-74005 from Summit... They have worked great for the past year... Dave..
another option is the pertronix stock look black wires.
i have them on my 67 now for about four years.
used to have misfires with others, like the yellow brand and stock delco brands.
