Odometer lens, which side faces out?
I am about to reassemble my 67 C2 cluster, and somehow I didn't make note which way the odometer lens fit correctly. I can tell top from bottom since there are corners cut off to orient it, but inside from out is a different story. The lens is strange in its construction as in it is not flat. Once side is flat and the other side is angled, such that the two sides are not parallel. Also, there are small rubber pads on one side and not the other. Which side should point outward towards the driver???

The concave side faces out (towards driver). The four rubber pads install on drivers side of lens. They fit into the four slots in the cluster frame itself. The slots will be approx., the same size as the pad.

Sorry, I didn't read your question correct, we will try again. The odometer lens fits with the flat side pointing in ( towards the front of the car. The rubber pads fit between the lens and the cluster housing itself.

BTW The two little rubber pads go between the two return edges of the lens. This is to prevent the two return edges of the lens from coming in contact with the cluster housing.
