65 paint
my 65 vert has about a 2 ft.paint job,had it when i bought it,not a
problem,rest of car perfect,shown 5 times 1 win 4 seconds(paint).
have been small business man 35 yrs.everybody must made money.
took car to see about paint a couple of places,6months 15,000.00.
if i was a large car with damage maybe.i drive my car and enjoy it.
am not trying to win some ncrs thing.to me this is a unreasonable
amount of time and money.i guess they think you are stupid enough
pay that much for a 40 yr. old car,you are stupid enough to pay them.

That's called a "We don't really want to mess with it" price; late-model car insurance collision repairs that turn around quickly are what pay the bills in a commercial shop, and that's what they're equipped and their people are trained to do. Check with the local NCRS chapter or local Corvette clubs to find the guys or small shops that do Corvette paint work and you'll find more reasonable prices, depending on what level of paint job you're looking for.

John's right. 15k=not interested, Either way they win. I had my 80 done at a shop that only does body work on fiberglass truck bodies. It was used to keep the help busy when slow. It worked out nice for both of us. Keep looking and good luck.
