A few days ago I posted a thread regarding my Odometer. I've since field dressed the thing on my work bench and have figured out the reason it doesn't work properly is because the Trip Odometer locks everything up after a few tenths of a mile. (I'm testing with a drill with and without the trip odometer in place). Without the trip meter wheels in the Odometer works fine...
I see Ecklers has a replacement trip odometer wheel for $60. Since I can't ever see really using the trip meter, I'm contemplating putting the old one back in and just set it so it free wheels but looks correct...OR I coul buy the new replacement.
Whats the consensus out there..replace or leave the old one in for looks only..??
It sits right in front of you, something the driver will always being looking at while driving. I would replace the part and have it working, since you already have it out.
