On most cars the grounding is taken for granted. On a Corvette you can't do that. Flickering headlights, gauges not working, and more can be the result of a poor ground. I would put them on and have one less reason why things go wrong.

When I put the new motor in, we put in some really beefy straps from the motor to the frame and other various places.
Since then, my amp doesnt hum through the speakers, my lights dont flicker anymore, I dont blow fuses like before, my battery meter actual moved to the positive side more than before.
some of this may have been from all of the new parts, painting the chassis and cleaning up everything with all new wiring.
Probably the most-neglected ground path in a C2 is from the birdcage structure (which has a number of primary harness ground wires/screws in it under the dash, plus relays and other components grounded by their attachments to the birdcage) back to the battery. The ONLY direct ground path from the birdcage back to the frame (and thus to the battery) is through the outer seat belt bolt reinforcing cable on each side, and through the #2 body mount bolt on a convertible. On a coupe, if those cables are missing or not connected, there is NO direct ground path from the birdcage structure to the battery, except by accident.
Where do you find information to know where the ground straps are supposed to be located? I have a C2 with lots of problems with lights. Dash lights particularly cause me grief. It's the old "hit the right pothole" and they will come on routine. Help! Phil
The kit from Paragon came with a paper sheet showing where these are located, I seem to remember one on the radio antenna plate, one from the frame to the driver side exhaust (under the driver seat), one from the motor mount to the frame, one from the dist shielding to the block, one from the sill/kick plates to the frame
