Steering column issues.
Well, Thanks to all who helped with the installation of my T/S switch which fixed my brake light problems.
However, while working in the column, I noticed that the cone shaped one piece section(or bell) has a fastener hole that comes in from the side closest to the dash on th right. I looked for parts to fasten through that hole which appear to function to hold the cone fromspinning around the column, but have been unable to find anything in the catalogs. Also the A/M was not much help with this either. I also noticed that later years went with a two piece cone that fastened with bolts on either side. So I'm thinking that the onpiece design was not so hot.
Has anyone else come up against this problem, and what is the proper fix. I have a temporary fix in place, but I don't think it is very good because the cone can still move from side to side.
Any sugggestions or part numbers would be welcomed.
