If you follow the seams you see it isn't part of the floorpan. I'm thinking I could cut a firewall section close to fit, lay it in from the inside and the carpet will cover the glue areas. The overall goal is to replace the missing contours and proper shapes.

The old firewall I have is in pretty bad shape. However, around that area (looking at the orientation in your pic) I do have a section where the left firewall flange attaches to the floor pan that extends up from the bottom floor pan flange to just over the indent for the dimmer switch. the problem is that the right side where it meets the fresh air side would need repair. It's missing the flange on that side just below the indent all the way up. But it might be enough of a section for you to piece it in.
Give email and I'll try to send a pic if you give me a bit. I freely admit to being unable to use my wife's digital camera.
Your profile won't let me send you an e-mail so here is mine: 64vette@tampabay.rr.com You can see the dimmer switch still attached just below the hole.
Hello.
I have friend in Louisina that has a complete firewall for a 63, here is his e mail. E mail him, he may be interested in selling it. DBocking01@***.net
