F/S Mid Year Trailer Hitch
This is a Valley model 368B designed specifically for the 1963-1967 Corvette, rated by Valley for 2000 lbs., 200 lb. tongue weight. The pull bar mounts directly to the differential at the spring bolt holes and drops down by removing a quick release pin just below the license plate to allow easy access to the spare tire. The license surround mounts using existing rear bumper bolt locations, so the hitch can be removed and the car returned to original condition at any time. It's missing the quick release pin holding the tow bar up at the rear, but a similar pin should be readily available at a good hardware or farm and home store. I've kept this hitch around for years, thinking I might someday use it on my second car, but I've decided that's not gonna happen. I know some of the guys on the forum were looking for one recently, so I'm gonna list it here so if someone on the forum wants it before I go on to E-Bay.
Also, one of the mounting brackets which bolts to the differential has a broken weld and is bent. Likewise, this should be an easy fix, but I haven't tried to do anything with it as I'd rather a prospective buyer see the condition prior to repair. There's also some blue paint on some of the chromed parts in the first picture, the whole assembly could use a good cleaning and repainting of the black tow bar and other painted parts. The chromed pieces will do in my estimation for a driver, but for show I'm sure you'd want them rechromed. (Then again, if you're gonna show, you probably won't want a hitch on the car to begin with!)
The first picture shows the whole assembly laid out. In the second photo, I've tried to show the partially cracked weld and the bent towbar mounting bracket. The last photo is a shot of an identical hitch on my '66. It is NOT the hitch being sold.
Price is $175 plus $25 for packing and shipping via FedEx within the lower 48, any other locations will require recalculation of the shipping costs. Paypal is preferred.

I PM'd USALT1, but haven't heard back yet from him. If I don't hear back in a couple of days, or if he doesn't take it you're next in line. I'll give him a couple more days to respond . . . . .
I'll keep you informed.
Thanks much,
Ron

I know it's a dream, but put me in at number three. Thanks.
Any chance of more detailed close-up photos? If I can't buy one, I could probably build one or more.
