The rear mount bolts to the large U bolts that attach the rear axle to the springs. The front bracket bolts to the front spring eye bolt and get a small weld bead to secure it. These were very popular back in the sixties and seventies. If you want pictures send me your e mail address.

The 57 we purchased had those on it. On the plate that bolts to the U-bolts, does it have 53-54 on it? We haven't been able to identify these yet? Thanks
