Default F/S: 15 X 7 Hurricane Wheels - Restored

I purchased these for use on my 72 road racer, then had them finished as you see them here, but then decided to use 10" Hurricane wheels all the way around the car, so I am making these available for someone to enjoy.

This set is American Racing Vintage 15 X 7", fifteen fin, powder coated black, five lug "Hurricane" style wheels. The rear offset is 4-1/2" making them a nice fit for Corvettes but can be used for other vehicles. Wheel openings are spacer type to allow 4.5 to 4.75 patters to work with lugs and chrome spacers, which I have here for these wheels. Various center caps can be purchased to match, I can assist with that as well if interested.

Pictures were a challenge but if more are needed let me know.

I have individual boxes for shipping these and a protective cover for each during shipment.

$375 shipped in the USA. Firm price, last offer.

Thank you for looking and best regards,

David Howard

Hey David, great looking set of wheels! A bit wide for my 65 but they would look very cool on a C2 that fit them. Hope all is well. Jeff

What size do you run on the 65? I'm a C3 guy but always intrigued with the C2's.

My 65 has 15x6 KO wheels with 205/70 tires. The stock steel rims are 15x5.5.

We installed a set of '68 Rally's (15" X 7", B 3-3/4") on this '65 coupe and had no clearance problems. On the lift, at full droop, the end of the rear spring would just touch the edge of the rim. On the ground rims had 1" of clearance.

Good luck... GUSTO

Do you mind telling where you had the wheels restored?

No problem at all. Wheels were professionally restored at Detroit Vintage Wheels. Restoration alone cost $800, not counting the $200 I paid for the wheels plus shipping.
Thank you.

Just wondering regarding the 10 inch wide wheels. I am guessing they don't fit under the factory body. Are you using the L88 factory flaring ? Or custom to fit the wheel/tire combo ? Can you run the same size tire front and back ? Do you run a particular brand tire and in what size(s) ? My project is a C3 vert for track day use, maybe historic racing too. (L88 w/L88 hood, side pipe exhaust, fixed headlights, chin spoiler - so far)

This is a C-3 Parts for Sale thread. I would be glad to discuss this in more detail on my thread for the car. You can locate it here on the forum at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...as-sought.html
I am working with 10" and 8-1/2" wheels at the moment.
Thank you.

I'd be listing those on the C3 forum parts for sale if you haven't already. They look really good on a C3 in my opinion. Not so much on a C2.

I know this is a real long shot but any chance these wheels are still available or any other set you may know of. I have a very close friend/customer that is looking for a set for his restoration project of his dads 67 Vette? Thanks!
