SOLD SOLD SOLD!!!!!!! I FOUND THESE DIGGING THRU MY PARTS.. THEY ARE THE PAINTED BB DRIPPER COVERS WITH THE WIRE TABS ON THE DRIVER SIDE.. THEY ARE NOT BEAT UP OR DENTED..THEY ARE NOT CHROME COVERS PAINTED! THESE ARE THE REAL EARLY C2 PAINTED COVERS.. THE PAINT MAY BE FACTORY PAINT ON THEM..65-66 DID NOT HAVE A DR SIDE WIRE STAND. 67 DID! SO, I GOOFED ON MY ORIGINAL LISTING WHEN I STATED THAT THEY WERE 65-67 ALSO...I SINCE HAVE CLEANED AND BLASTED THE COVERS, PRIMED THEM WITH ZINC OXIDE AND PAINTED WITH DUPLI-COLOR CHEVY ORANGE. since no one has been interested in these,i took them too the engine shop and had them tanked. i am gonna take pictures before i paint them up so that people can see that they are bare steel not chrome painted. and i will post those pictures. and then we will see if anyone is interested..thanks all
Here are the covers back from the hot tank. As you can see they are a plain steel cover. So that makes them 65-67 396-427 corvette. They are in oxide primer now. And will be painted Chevy orange. I will post the primer pictures and the finished product.
FYI, 66 Corvette LH valve covers and probably 65's did not have a wire stand at the rear.
thank you mosport, i miss labeled them in the listing and did not catch it in time.. 65 did not have a stand on the left side.[i have a 65 l78] not sure about 66, my thought is that it has a stand there? so that being said, they are either 66 [not sure] or for sure 67 painted covers. from what i understand they started doing chrome covers in 68. my 68 390hp car has oem chrome on it. thanks troy
I wasn't sure about 65"s but a definite on not 66 "s. I believe it would be safe to advertise as 1967 covers.
i agree mosport, i think they are 67 covers. i started digging into pictures an found a few 66 cars and they did not have a tall stand on the dr side..67 does. thanks again troy
