Default 1955 Corvette 265/195HP Engine

Sorry guys! This isn't a Corvette engine, my research was incorrect. It came from a full size chevy with a 2bbl and manual from factory.

1955 Chevrolet Engine 265/162HP Engine (this is what I gather from my research)

Im helping a widow liquidate her late husbands toys. Please bare with me because I don't know much about these older engines. This engine sat on the shelf in the shop for 30 plus years. Bell housing number GM3703524 Block Pad number 0200820 F55G. I can get you other numbers just tell me where to find them please. Also, Im willing to let the buyer take the engine apart to check bores and such. I can take it to a local machine shop of your choice for a Serious buyer at your expense. I'm asking $2500 negotiable.

F55G started life in a full size Chevrolet with 3 speed manual transmission and 2 bbl carb. Horse power was rated at 162.

How did you conclude it's a Corvette engine?

How did you determine your asking price?

My mistake. Price came from some I had seen online. I don't know much about these old engines so thank you for correcting me.

Chad, if you are going to post multiple items, please post this explanation that you made regarding selling for someone else, in each of your ads. This was your statement in the other engine thread:

Let me make it clear that I am liquidating parts for a friend that husband passed away. I have full authority to any decisions on the sale and I will stand behind the sale. My name is on the line here.

I'm not trying to hide anything.

Its fine.... ALL GM parts are labeled Corvette. Gets that extra dollar the " finder - helper " sellers are after.
