Is there a partial VIN on the front pad, broaching marks?

Standard bore?

Hello, thanks for your inquiry.....there are no other numbers stamped on the pad other than what I mentioned. After cleaning the front pad I can see faint parallel lines that are parallel to the long axis (crankshaft) of the engine, I assume this is what you mean by broaching marks? As far as bore...sorry my depth gauges only go to 3 1/2 inches. but using a digital caliper I'm getting a reading of 4.00 at the top of the cylinders. This block will need machining as there is a slight ridge. Please let me know if there are any other questions. I can some pictures if that would be helpful....best regards....Lance

It's a 250hp full size '65 Chevrolet block. They didn't stamp those with the vin derivative at that time.
