Want to buy headers to fit my 60 Corvette. I’m building a 68 427/435hp for it. I have two other big block C1 Corvettes that seem to have off-the-shelf headers. So I know they’re out there. Anybody got some for sale? This may be the last time you find somebody crazy enough to do this. Call Scott Marshall 901-372-7421

I am putting a 540 in my 60 and looked all over for headers, I needed big tubes (2 1/8) . The only headers I found were fenderwell and needed some work to make em fit nice. They are made by Tubular Automotive. If you find anything else let us know . Some on here have had custom headers made. No you are not alone !
I think this is what y'all are lookin for ........................................ ........ Bill Thomas made a kit back in the late 60s for installing a big block in the 55 - 62 Corvettes. I have this NOS kit I was gonna use for my 57........................but I sold the car................................ but gonna buy another 57. I am considering making these in stainless steel.
Dr. L 88, yes that is exactly what I was talking about. I have a set of those on my 57. Maybe it would be cheaper if we pool together and made about three sets of those in stainless. Do you know anyone that could do that

Yes, we can build them. They would be 304 stainless, hand formed, gas purge tig welds. Not your everyday el cheapo headers. Hand fabricated stainless headers are labor intensive. I'll see what I can do about a price for 3 sets.

Have you figured out a price and a timeline?
Scott
Working on it.......................... will let you now tomorrow.
OK............. I discussed this project with my welder today. IF we have at least 3 orders, we can do them for $2500 per set, delivered within the continental US. I know, it sounds like a lot of money for headers, and it is, but keep in mind they're stainless steel and hand fabricated. We did 16 sets of Bill Thomas L88 headers and side pipes a few years ago and those were $4500 per set. Three of the twenty 1967 L88 Corvettes have our headers on them.
Lead time will be about 4 weeks for these C1 big block headers. We need at least 3 orders and a 50% deposit is required. If I haven't scared you away, and if you're still interested, let me know.

Thanks for checking on that. I don’t think my car is nice enough for that!! I guess I’ll have to keep looking. Thanks again
