Sad story: A month ago I sent my speedometer to Joseph Ray (longtime NCRS member who specializes in rebuilding speedometers). Because I live in Portugal, I had to decide between trusting ctt (the Portuguese postal service) or paying a rip-off price for DHL or similar. I chose to trust ctt. And, here I am. A month later and the package has never made it to Joe. That sucks.
So, it's time for me to start looking for a good, rebuildable core.
Anybody happen to have a good, rebuildable speedometer + tripometer from a 1966 that they are willing to sell?
I am not an expert. Maybe other midyear speedometer assemblies are the same as 1966. If you have one and you know it is exactly the same as a '66, then talk to me about it.
