Default Took the 'Vette out to work the last few days...

...and I've had so many random strangers come up to the car, it's not even funny.

Right after I dropped my wife off at her job, as I was driving past a crowded corner, I heard a little boy yell "mommy, look at that cool car! It's so cool!"

Nothing more, just looking for an excuse to post a picture and share the love...

Got mine out last weekend when the sun was out and got a few waves and several thumbs up in my little town. Does put a nice little grin on your face when it happens. Lets you know that all of your hard work is paying off.

Been driving my '75 Silver coupe around the last couple of nice days. Had all kinds of "thumbs up", several people yelled over "Nice car", "What year Corvette is that?" while sitting at a couple of traffic lights. Went to teh Taco Bell one night and five people were walking around it Even the young male cashier at Taco Hell said "Cool Vette man". Went to a custard stand and the younger girl(about 15-17yrs old)and she asked, "Is that your Corvette?" I always say "No, it's my wife's!!!"

Well, at least "some" people think "rubber bumpered Corvettes are "

Ya gotta love it when people pull up next to you at the stop light and tell you what a great looking car you have. What year is it, or wish I had one.

I had a guy in a brand new BMW 740 ( whats that a $60,000 car?) pull next to me and sarcastically ask if I wanted to trade. The strange part is....I would probably have said no. I am too attached to my car I guess.

You shoulds said "It'd take at least three of those BMWs to my one Corvette before I'd trade. " Then laugh as he speeds away

I took my 74 to my State Farm branch to get a pic taken by the insurance gal in preparation for raising the agreed value. Since the gal was busy when I came in the office, I toured a couple of shops while she freed up. When I came back, she was gushing about "such a pretty car" and "it looks so good". I told her thanks, but yall are right, it does bring a little smile thats hard to wipe off.

Cool car is where it is at...... No car can compare the C3 these days.... Some kids have never even seen a C3 because there are so few on the roads.

Thanks

It was in the high 60's here on Wednesday and I had my 75 Convertible out with the top down.

Boy I can't wait for the warm weather to get here!!!!!!!!!!

I love driving this car more than my 01 coupe.

I feel sorry for anyone who never gets to gaze or at least ride in a C3.

Wish I could hear that. Since i am only 19 and ride with my t-tops off very often, i usually only hear "I bet he doesn't even know what it means to own a Corvette."

Not knowing that my vette has been in the family since it rolled off the lot...brand new(1977).

Whats even more sad is there are less and less people doing the "Corvette wave"...especially in the later model vettes..im only 19 but i know exactly what it means to drive my baby.. Three years of work just to get her running..was definately worth it

By The Way Paul...your avatar makes it very hard to stay focused on your post..heh..

I've been driving mine too and you're exactly right. It's why we love these cars.

I love that about my car too... Being a bright color (orange) I get a lot of comments and looks.. I was out on a cruise one time with my club (KCCA). I was one of the oldest cars there.. everyone else had 4's and 5's..going thru a small town people were watching and all the little kids pinted at my car.. going past them you could hear the "WOW's" from them...

I love that line "no, it's my wife's" car, I hope you don't mind if I use that one too. Thanks.
