Why the new paint? I thought it looked fine.

Dep,
It was certainly a pretty 10-foot car. But the lacquer was 15-years-old and showing its age with fading and some thin spots owing to some attempts by me to buff. There were also some minor stress cracks that needed tidying up. And the usual stonechips. So it was time.

I did contemplate my navel during the winter as the cost is not insignificant. But after pushing and shoving myself around for a bit I concluded why not? The interior was done last summer and things were not quite complete. Life is too short to dither about.

The pic shows where I am heading. The 427/BB hood and black stinger is incorrect but what the heck....

Paul: okay...understand about the paint. That hood is pretty valuable if it's the functional stinger hood. They had a vette on Barret Jackson and mentioned that last night. Car should look great with a fresh paint!!!

DD: Oh yeahhhh....now I remember
BTW...I told GDaina to take away 5 points from you for posting that **** link. That was DISGUSTING
