Default Radio Bezel

I am ready to install a new radio in my 1980. I see bezels for sale that are already cut so that a din style radio will fit. These bezels run about $200. Why cant I use my exsiting bezel and cut that square shape out with a dremel tool and save $200 bucks? What am I missing??

I think you can do just that unless you don't want to cut up the origional bezel.

Ok,I thought cutting it out would not work.If you dont want to cut the original piece,I see new bezels on ebay for $60.

Yes, you can cut it. Have done it on a 77 & 80.

It's 76 & older that have an issue.
