Motor color combos?
I am getting ready to assemble my motor and really am not into the chevy orange/chrome combo. My car is white, interior red, so I was thinking to paint the block red along with accesories brackets.Well we had to put Scooby down, our Rottie, and we decided that we would really love to get another. Vavle covers black to go with the engine bay. Any similar combos out there?
Any other thoughts would be great, anything will be better then when I got it.

Jughead, every time I see that neon purple carb spacer I know it is your engine I am looking at. And I saved the sound clip of your car running when you did the video of it a while back. GREAT CAR.
Joebio....what ever you do to that engine compartment should be an improvement. It looks like mine did when I first got it. However I am partial to the Chevy Orange and Chrome.

Mine is now painted bright red. The brackets where done in black epoxy. I painted the RPM Air-Gap red as well. I have your basic chrome tall valve covers and chrome 14"x3" air cleaner installed. The only other chrome is my shiney new altenator.

I like to de-chrome whatever I can on my vert. I painted everything chevy orange at first. Then decided to remove the chrome M/T valve covers and paint the top end with alum paint. The block is still orange, but when I put in the 383 later this year it will not be orange.

Actually the purple thingy is a ported carb base. That carb didn't have any vacuum ports so I had to buy this one. They came in no other color. 
I'm looking to do another short (1min) video once I get my engine running correctly and I need a camera mount. I want to take a video looking out the windshield taken from the sharkbar and under brisk (not full out) acceleration.
