Default Experience with Cardone Brake Calipers

For those that have installed Cardone brake calipers, how have they
held up?
They are sold by Advance Auto Stores as well as other stores.

They advertise as being built to better than OEM specs but do not
specify if they are stainless steel sleeved.

Default Calipers

I have them on my 69 B/B . I replace them about every 3yrs because if you let the car set for a long time they will stsrt leaking. Advance has the with a life time replacement . I use synthic brake fluid.

Anyone else?

The three year life seems short, especially with synthetic fluid.

I think my AutoZone calippers are Cardones..... no problems so far except a stripped thread (it was stripped when I took the caliper out of the box)

their return policy is great.....

I did find that the cross bolts in the calipers are not torqued to factory specs when I was tearing the Cardone calipers down to put in O-ring pistons.

I did contact Cardone today to see if the calipers are stainless steel
sleeved and they said they are. This is not mentioned on Advance
Auto parts web site nor on Cardone's web site.

The calipers that Auto Zone carries are from Fenco, which are stainless
steel sleeved acording to their web site.

One other interesting thing I found out is the warranty on the Cardone's. According to their web site, they have a lifetime warranty
to the original purchaser on the original vehicle. It says to bring the
calipers back to the store purchased for the warranty. According to
several sales people at Advance Auto parts, they only replace the
calipers once under warranty. Would be interesting if anyone would
clarify the warranty with their local Advance Auto parts store.
