I wasn't aware Chevy made a Corvette wagon in '69...

A friend of mine bought a wrecked '74 in the late '70s. He had to do both clips and ended up with a wagon. Greenwood produced a limited number of the tops, one of which he put on his car. It was a short-lived fad that ran its course and I speculate that only a few of the modified cars are still surviving from that era. My friend still has the unfinished project car and will not sell it. He hopes to finish it, eventually, but now has 3 grown kids who all want it. If I wasn't involved in a makeover of a flared '69, I would offer him more than he can refuse, just to have it in my garage, because I figure there are more like me out there who want their Vettes modified. Good luck on your project and let me know if you want to sell it for a price less than I will have to pay my friend to get it away from his kids!

PS: Judging from the other forum link, there are folks in the C4 crowd who don't appreciate art. Don't let it bother you - make it one of a kind...anyone can just add go-fast goodies. The the I feel is...if you have trouble finding your Vette in a car show because it looks just like a dozen others, right down to the paint, then what is the point of owning something different?

I'd love to see it. Be careful though, most of this forum is full of people that are overly opinionated and usually pretty insulting. I agree that stock Vettes are boring. I don't care for big wings or whatever, but I think the wagons are cool. To those that are ready to make a stupid comment, the world doesn't need your crappy holy opinion. By the way, welcome to the forum.

Ooops this thread is listed twice I just posted a reply on the other one.

Thanks for showing those pics of the various wagons.

I had seen a few c3 wagons listed on ebay etc, but I have never seen a pic of a C1 wagon, that is wild!

Thanks for the great response. I don't know how long I'll have the car, but I figure it might be money in the bank. I'll post pics as soon as I can. Again thanks for your kind words.

If I was going to put that much effort into the body work, I think I'd opt to change my coupe into a convertible.
