Default Geuss it wasn't the carburetor

Got about 200 miles on the rebuilt engine, now. It runs really really smooth now. I can only imagine what it'll run like in 300 more miles, when I change the oil. It's starting to run cooler and doesn't chug at all. Looks like the rings are beginning to seat. Here I thought the Quadrajet was just being a little bitch, it just needed time to break in. Driving home from work tonight the check engine light stayed on, I geuss it finally realized the smog pump isn't there I needa take that cat off some time in the near future, too.

I gotta get a straight pipe to put in place of it first, heh. First thing is paying for my motorcycle, though.

Taking the time and having my cousin weld it on is the hard part. He owns a metal shop but it's up in Escondido and I'm a lazy bugga that doesn't wanna drive up there lol.

I don't have to smog it for 2006 registration. For 2007 it'll be registered as historic.

Found that next to my new place of work is a welding shop

I'm thinking I should just save my money on that and get the dual exhaust from Mid-America
