How to keep my Cool............ant
Any help with this one is appreciated. After each ride with my 70 vert 350/300 hp (no air) looses some coolant. After 2-3 rides I find that I need to add about a quart of liquid. The temp stays within range while driving and does not show signs of overheating, this is not a proplem. The coolant loss is coming from the radiator cap/overflow. The cap is a 13psi cap, is the correct cap, can I change this to 15psi cap or should I replace the 13psi as it may have lost strength over time?

My '72 is not factory equipped with an overflow tank. Normal coolant level when cold is about 1 1/2" down from the filler neck. I can fill it all the way up to the neck and it will puke the excess out the overflow pipe as I drive. When cooled down I can check it and it will be riding down about 1 1/2" in the radiator. This is normal as they did not run a full system with an overflow tank. I have no cooling issues whatever, sounds like your're OK.
