"Hallelujah!" finally paint is finished(pics)
so you may have seen my earlier thread where i ranted about how long my paint job was taking. I took it to Thunder Road in Round Rock, tx back in September after a forum member recommended them. They had lost some employees and we had a lot of wet weather so I didnt get on to him too much. He also threw in about $600 worth of weatherstripping, rocker panels, etc to make up for it. I finally picke it up yesterday and I have to say I am very pleased with the final result.
pickin her up from the shop
just today i got some 255-50 tires on the rear to fill up the back fenders, this pick is yesterday w/ the 45's
think i may start using this to shave

The new paint looks awesome. You should be proud. Just in time to enjoy some cruising before it gets too hot. Have fun in it.

It had minimal body damage....well....i say that but these cars require tons of blocking and fine tuning....i should say i had no major body damage...only had some cracks around the front and rear bumper brackets...here are some progress pics...
you can see an oil spot on the hood where the A/C compressor apparently had been slinging liquid...they just put the hood in the sun until it all soaked out
front left corner...all 4 corners were similar
shot of the body seams from the factory...when doing the body work he didnt touch these...you cant see them now that the job is done, but after the sun hits it for a while, they should reappear
(3 above) after most of the body work and one layer of primer
Thanks for all the compliments!
