Default Gas Tank Vendor?

I need a new gas tank for my '69 Coupe. Any recommendations on a vendor?

Look for Quanta as they make the correct tank for your car. They are also nice to deal with and there tanks have the correct markings as factory as well.

The original tanks have the AO Anderson logo stamped in them. Who is the vendor that is authroized manufacture these tanks. Is it Quanta? Several Corvette vendors sell these tanks. I just wonder who is the real manufacturer?

I have a card from Auto City Classic in Isanti, MN (763-444-5880)
149.00 for tank. Talk to him for a bit was told that there is only 1
manufacturer in US making these tanks, is that true? I'm restoring
my car back and need a "original" tank. How 'bout it , any truth to this?
Oh yeah, FYI taking the tank out w/o lifting the body sux hardcore,
not for the faint of heart.

I found removing the fuel tank pretty easy. Just make sure all the gas is out of it: I drove mine for as long as I dared and then pulled the fuel line off the fuel pump and drained it there.

I researched this recently (After I noticed a tiny gas stain under my car!! ) and my results were inconclusive. I found a generic seller of gastanks that seemed to use the same model numbers as the vette specialists... but I wasn't quite sure. Are the logos that make the tank appear original even visible when the tank is installed?

quanta website is gastanks dot com.

Is that a hard fast rule? It's the most ethical thing to give a priority to our sponsors for purchasing items but there's often something to be learned by looking at what others have for sale.

Pretty much a hard and fast rule to not post links to nonsupporting vendors. I respect (and support) that rule. If you type in the URL as www.directlinknotallowed.booboo the software automatically creates a link. This is not allowed. I still think discussion of nonsupporting vendors is allowed... up to a point... somewhere in there is administrative discretion - which I will also respect if they decide to edit/audit/eliminate specific mentions of nonsupporting vendors.

PRNDL you are correct. We can talk about other vendors. We can point to other Vendors. And even say there name just not a direct link. But in this case I did not know of a Vender we have that offers a gas tank as QUANTA
