Default Hood Pins

Anybody use Hood pins to hold the hood down instead of the latches?
What Kind are you using?
What are you thoughts on hoods pins sticking through the hood.
It looks like they have to be a least 5 inches long.

Thanks Larry

I am thinking of these but have gotten some negative feedback on them regarding their function, they would look better than other types that stick up and ruin the lines of the sleek vette.

I looked at them also, but I think they would break. I was also looking at these from sumithHood Pins I know what people are going to say about them, But they look the most durable to me.

I have a pin on hood.
normal pins screw right into the hood latches, works great.

I had to make a bracket for the front pins. It's shaped like a Z and mounts where the stock hinges are.

I like it. It's lighter and my hood is always off anyway

I just bought a set to put on my car and after LOTS of research I found the best ones to buy and that look the best are...

(whisper) the ones on late 60's mustang eleanor kits (hide head in shame)

search ebay - they were all over for $20 when I looked.
