Default Brake Question and a concern.....

I'm in the middle of replacing all my calipers on my 1980 350 4sp. and have a couple of problems.

I managed to strip the thread on one of the nuts that screw into the rear caliper, it seems that I'll have to replace the whole line that goes from the caliper to the flexible line 1ft away as I can't see a way of just replacing the nut. Anyway are these lines easy to come by? I need to get it tomorrow so the car is finished at the weekend. Does anyone know of a supplier in Southern California - Huntington Beach area???

Also with the back end raised I noticed that with the wheel securely bolted to the rotot when I put my hands on the 12 and 6 positions or the 3 and 9 positions I could move the wheel by almost 1/4 inch in total. It seems to be pivoting around the knuckle and it quite concerning - any ideas? The more worrying thing is the bearings have just been replaced by a local garage.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Thanks

call Van Steel and ask them to go over the trouble shooting techniques/guidelines. That movement is not good

NAPA has the lines. I think its a 16 or 18". You have to bend it yourself no big deal, you can bend it with your hand or buy a tubing bender at NAPA for 10 bucks.

Is the rotor secured to the spindle with rivits,, if not take the lugnuts and secure it down then repeat your test.
