Default 68 body question

will a 73 rear body clip fit a 68 frame. Were they the same rear clip body wise or did they change body style in 69?

thanks

The big change was moving the backup lights from under the bumper (in '68) to inside the taillight ('69+)

I would have to say the biggest change, noticably, is the flares at the wheels. 68's didn't have em'

how much did the "fender flares" change? I never new the flares were different. That might be why when you order quarters they ask 68-9 or 70-72.

What I am attempting to do is buy a 68 coupe that had a mako kit at on point in its lifetime and someone had removed it and did a terrible job of fixing it. There is glue strips all over under the body and u can see the joints from the top side. Im thinking it would just be easier to remove the whole rear clip. I just found a 73 on ebay that is real nice. Im just not sure how different it really is. Im not looking to make this car original. Just wanted to make a nice resto-rod. You know test the skills....lol. Maybe sell it someday for a profit.

there were none behind the front or rear wheels in 68/69. They started in 70. I believe because of stone and road debris issues... coming up and chipping paint on the first run of C3's.
