Rough ride '78 S/A need help..
Last year I purchased this '78 with only 55,000 miles... Very good shape. but......I have always had this howl with a very rough ride. The tires were approx 10-12 years old, good all around but because of the rough ride I suspected they were quite hard....I just bought new tires (original size. 255 60, 15's.....) Now the ride is better but I feel only about only 25%....The majority of the howl is gone but now when I deaccelerate , say from 60 MPH there is a howl from the rear end area.Any ideas there??? rear end? U joints? Can I take the presumption that the rough ride is too stiff a suspension, such as either shocks orGymphana??? suspension....or whatever that special suspension is....... I have the same tires on my '75 (new last year) BF's and it rides beautiful......Any comments??? thanks
