I have a 1969 and the speedo has quit working - It is getting revolutions to speedo but nothing is working in the speedo itself - is there a rebuild kit out there.

Not to disagree with Mike but....
Mine stopped working a while back. I pulled it out, cleaned it up, squirted some silicone lube on the moving parts, tested it with a variable speed drill, put it back in, and it works just fine now. It does wobble a little when starting out but after about 15 mph, it settles down.

Total cost for repairs? $0.00
It's worth a shot.
I did the same thing, removed the needle & face and soaked it in a coffee can with mineral spirits & spun it with a small screwdriver by hand. Amazing the amount of crap that came out. A little light weight oil and all was well. A small square drive bit fit perfectly by the way.
I should have mentioned that you need to be very careful while doing all this. It would be very easy to break or bend the needle. Also, you might want to wear some type of glove while handling it. If you get a fingerprint, or any oil, on the face, it will haunt you forever!
I hear all of ya'.. but if you were ever around a speedo repair shop - you'll know that you need alignment shims of specific thicknesses, an electric magnetizer, an electric demagnitizer, and a precision rotating source.
Sure, you can free-up a corroded speedo and get it to register - but is it even remotely accurate anymore?
I guess it all depends on your goals/wants/needs. But a speedo that was working fine and just stops all of a sudden (and it's not the speedo cable - as mentioned by the post originator) - is gonna take a little more work than just a spray of WD-40.
But since doing that doesn't cost anything - go for it !!!
