Wiper panel won't work--Please Help
We have only had or 69 for about 2 weeks. Most things work great with the major exception of the wiper panel. It is in the open position and the wipers work. I was wondering where I should start looking for what's broken? I tried the search function but found nothing. Thanks, Alex in Arkansas.

There are 3 switches under there. The left one is vacuum over ride for the headlamps. The middle (round one) is to stop the wipers while they are sweeping to change the blades. The right one is the vacuum over ride for the wiper door. Make sure you are using the correct one. Without looking at my electrical/vacuum diagrams I think your wiper door solenoid is dirty. It is located bolted to the back of the tach. It is a pain to get too but after 30+ years is is dirty inside and needs a clean. They are not manufactured anymore (at least thats what I found on a search for one) so you may have to search for a used one. OR you can DIY.
