Default Made a recording of my sidepipes today

Using two Sure SM57's and a Tascam 428. So I have PCM Stereo at 16bits 96k. Sounds pretty good ( not like the real thing but Hey )

I made one recording through the mufflers and one open headered.

Now I can listen to my vette anytime I want

The files are 1 and 2 Meg, Where could I post em?

I think I need to do it again power braked. it really make some noise then...
Reving up without a load just sounded funny.

The first one is open headers...you have no idea how loud that is! Made my ears ring

I bet. I'm really interested in hearing them rev, as I am looking into getting into a set of factory side pipes myself. Just got to afford the covers...

I'm just afraid I will not like the loud noise. I do want to hear my alpine stereo I'm about to install.

With the factory style sidepipes using auger mufflers ( kinda like spiral baffels but cheaper ) the wind noise at 60 is louder than the exhaust...

The muffled one sounds better to me. Although I'm a big fan of open headers. Guess ya gotta be there....

The second clip sounds good to me.

I had to drive my car with open shorties about 20 miles to have the collectors welded up. Talk about loud. I would get on it pretty good from redlight to redlight just to watch peoples face. Sounded like a bomb.
