This is a who cares type post.
In a 1976 Corvette you can turn the radio off after turning the ignition key off.
I think most, if not all newer vehicles being electronic will not allow this to happen.

The radio in my Lincoln LS will continue playing for 15 minutes AFTER the ignition is shut off and the key removed, or until you open a door.
And the radio in my C3 will continue playing until you shut it off or the battery dies. (Ask me how how know this)

The thing I don't like is my radio doesn't work with the key in the ACC position. If I want to sit in the parking lot while my wife shops and listen to the radio I have to put the key in the run position. That will run the battery down for sure because everything is hot including the ignition coil.
