Default Paint & Trim Code

Guys,

I'm getting ready to order all new interior parts for my 1980 Corvette. The tag on the door says my Trim is 642 and Paint 59L. The trim numbers doesn't seem to correlate to 80 Corvette products offered online. Does anyone have a chart to check it. My registartion says it's a 1980 Corvette but I think 642 is the trim color for an 1981 according to Dr. Rebuild's website. Man I'm confused.

Check your VIN # 1Zxxxxxxxxxx was for 80 and 1Gxxxxxxxx was for 81.The numbers you gave are not for an 80 642 was used in 81 for Camel Leather and 59 was for Frost Beige paint.
