I saw this car in person at the in charolette NC a few weeks ago at the lowe's motor speedway show the owner was asking 72,000 for it!!!!
it's a OK car but I wouldn't want it really sounds like to me it was one that needed about everything so it leada rough life then this rich owner decided to pour money into it and didn't do it exactly right anyway he put a 69 steering wheel and WHEELS and stuff like that on it.
for a car that isn't correct and thats been hit (in the front you can feel globs of fiber glass repair in the fender wheels) I wouldn't pay no near his asking price of 72,000 for it

"This rare specimen of the 1968 427/396 Corvette, equipped with the Muncie M-22 Stone Crusher 4 speed transmission"
Stone Crusher 4 speed???
Hummm....I've heard of a rock crusher but never a stone crusher. Must be really rare.

No AIR, no ignition shielding, and did they paint over the backup lights?
edit: looking closely, it appears that the backup lights were just not installed. That could make for an interesting inspection.
I guess they like hearing the speed warning or they don't drive over 22 mph.

I think a stone crusher is one step up from a rock crusher. It's more refined.

Also what's with the rare aluminum intake, looks like the same aluminum L-36 intake all the 390 hp 427 cars had. that brings me to the second point 427/396?, isn't that supposed to be 427/390? I'd think I would do a little research before trying to get 70k plus out of a car.

Sounds like the are trying to find a sucker. Going to BJ if it doesn't sell. It overpriced and still has not met the reserve. At least they could give it a 30/30 warranty, 30 feet ot 30 seconds, which ever comes first.

First C3 General Poster!
irregardless the car is highly overpriced, and if any informed buyers at Barret Jackson even pay 50 for it Id be surprised, but theyre thinking 100?!? hahahaha I think not.

GOT to be some shill bidding going on. No way in hell is that car worth $40, much less $100K. It's a long way from correct, and like everyone else, I'd really like to know what the hell this mysterious "CRT" engine is.
