Trans Problems!!!!!!! HELP
every thing went fine untill i filled it up and started to run it throught the grears.
for some reason it is leaking from the top edge of the pan and i cant get it to stop.
so i thought maybe the was a peace of the old gasket that i did not see right at the leak so the new gasket cant make a good seal. so i went and bought 5new qt of ATF and pulled the pan again and clean both sides (the pan and on the trans) and i inspected the gasket and there seems to be nothing wrong at all.
so then i put the pan back on and filled it back up and agian it starts to drip right from the same place
what can i do??????????
You did use gasket sealer and make sure to circle the bolt holes correct? Also, there is a pattern to tightening them up to make sure that you don't twist the lips. Kinda like lug nuts....
Oh and the detents on the pan are still good and not flattened too right ?
