Default Front wheels warm ... this normal ??

A couple years ago (150miles) I greased the front wheel bearings using one of those tools shaped like a cone that has an attachement for a grease gun. I cranked enough grease through there to totally remove the old grease and then some .... On close inspection from every angle the bearings looked fully packed. I went through the tightening procedures as described in the manual. Both wheels turned easily so I didn't give it much thought. After taking it for a 2 mile spin the other day I just happened to kneel down and touch one of the wheels. It was warm. Not HOT just warm. Both were. I had done this check right after repacking them and taking a 30mile trip. They were warm then too. Is this normal ? I've done bearings before by hand and never checked the wheel temperature. Only reason I checked this time was to make sure the grease tool hit every corner. Now I don't know what normal is.

Thanks for your thoughts,
Scott

Normal, depending on the outside temperature. The heat from the disk brakes dissapates through the hub into the wheel.

And if there are aluminium you will notice it more due to aluminium conducting heat so well.
