Default New TKO600 Leaks

My new TKO600 tranny that i just finally completed the install on this past weekend is leaking like a sieve where the tailhousing meets the tranny case. I just finished pulling it back out and have separated the tail housing from the case and there was virtually nothing between the metal. All i found was a small dab here and there of a red looking grease.

I bought some permatex gray gasket maker to seal it. Is this the correct sealer or should i go with something else?

I have read that Tremec uses a red anerobic sealant Permatex 51813 to seal this area.
Is this a Keisler modified Tremec?

yes, it's a keisler modified tranny. And yes i would like my money back also 'cause it's been far more than just a leak.

They want me to send it back but i figure what the heck i'll try to seal it. Whats the worse that can happen, it'll leak.

I hope Keisler steps up to help our members with this issue, not just asking for it to be shipped back. At least some instuctions on how we can resolve this on our own with their support. I have been thinking about doing this conversion but will hold off until this is resolved. I live in Canada and shipping back is not an option. For the money that these things cost we should expect a fine tuned and quality product.

Actually I feel they should ship you out a new one and make sure before hand that it is leak free and give you a return ticket to send the leaky transmission back to them. That is the least they can do with all of the problems I have seen on here with this.

For the money that these things cost we should expect a fine tuned and quality product?

I thought they wet-tested everything before shipment?

I hate to hear about all these Keisler leaks. I've recommended them over and over, but I seem to be one of the few that have no leaks. I wonder if something changed...

Hi

Off topic, sorry: @CGGorman

Pls get me some detail pics of your rollbars behind the seats. Did you cut the deck lid ? I was thinking about a similar bar, but can not moove the seats forward due to leg space. How does it attach to the chassis ?

Thanks. Günther

-----------Update-------------

I picked up the anaerobic sealant and put a liberal amount between tail housing and case. I can see why Keisler didn't use any and thought metal on metal would seal, it cost $13 a tube.

Anyway the car is back together, again, and i have driven 50 miles leak free.

This finally, i hope, concludes a nearly 2 month problem riddled install of this supposed tranny kit.

Did these leaks show up before you started driving, or only after starting to use them??
