Some of you may have read my posting about my dyno run and the disappointment that the valves started to float at 4800rpms when this cam is supposed to be good to 6000 with peak HP around 5400.
I purchased their "recommended" springs in Feb, 2001. I didn't get the motor fired up until Dec, 2002, and now, May 2005 after some dyno time I find out that these recommended springs are not working even though the Comp catalog states they will.....
Does anyone think I have a chance with Comp Cams customer service to get them to work with me on acquiring the correct valve springs and receive some sort of discount?
Can anyone comment on their Comp Cams experience with customer service in this area?

Comp Cams customer service is pretty good, the probelm you are going to have is convincing a tech rep and the engineers in the next room who work for a company that has been making valve train components for years that they have recommended the wrong springs based on one persons experience. You can get them to check the numbers for you that's about all you are going to get.
Their service is overall very good. But anything you get at this point is going to be by the grace of the gods. They have no way of verifying what spring height you set them at, how valves are adjusted, or how many times it's been revved to the moon and floating the valves in the past. Springs typcally float at progressively lower rpms each time you put them into float.
But give them a call...I've always had good luck with Eric.
