I'm seriously contemplating buying a C3 that's on the other side of the country, and I'd like to get some recommendations from the forum for who to use for safe, damage-free C3 transportation service, as well as who to stay away from. . . I'd also like to get an idea of what to expect to pay for about a 1500 mile trip? TIA!
I was looking into DAS - Dependable Auto Shipping. Ebay motors recommend them, so I assume are reputable because ebay wouldn't want a bad reputation in any way.
Anyway, check them out, they have a website. Even if you just check their website and use their free online instant quote service so you can get an idea on what it would cost to ship from A to B.
Also, do a search on the forum on past threads on this subject. I know there were a couple not long ago.
When I was looking for a transporter for a TR6, I stumbled across this site. http://www.auto-transport-reviews.com/
Customer reviews for lots of carriers.

i have done this twice now and i will only go with a large reputable company.....last time i actually went to a local towing company for a face to face transaction and sent one of their flatbeds on a 400 mile trip....it may cost more but you have read the horror stories....when you see the guy leave with the flat bed and see his own car is parked inthe parking lot you know hes coming back....
I've used Reliable Carriers twice and been pleased both times. Enclosed transport, good service, and reasonable price. Price as stated above, around a dollar per mile.
To get the good price, you must be flexible. They quoted 1-4 weeks for pick up and delivery. I got the car in a little over week. To get firm dates expect to pay a lot more, probably twice as much.
