Hello Corvette enthusiasts, hoping for some input on the 69 vette I just bought, thought it was a good deal,I have been a 66 67 Chevelle nut for years and still own a few BB cars, but always wanted a vette, this vette is a 69 427/435 hourse(1 of 2722 made) 4 speed 411 rear with # matching block(broch marks in place) and is a real 435 horse car, just brought it home this weekend ,looked on top of the gas tank and build sheet is intact. It has a stock black vinal int..phontom green lacqer on a no hit original body,no options, some mods to the engine running about 530 horses, but have all original ex. manifolds, heads, carbs. ect. original tri power manifold is on the car with new carbs ,this is a turnkey that starts up with two pumps of the gas,and you can imagine what it sounds like and is scary to drive,no rust.8 inch ralleys all the way around, what do ya think,I would load a pic but dont Know how, maybe somone could help me with that, paid 32k,Darryl cant seem to transfer winzip files to photobucket.com help! here is a couple of pics http://photobucket.com/albums/y296/s...orvette004.jpg

stepinup,
I owned a 69 Blue 427-435hp Coupe that I bought used in 1971 that was like brand new with 11,000 miles on the odometer for $3100. This was the fastest car I ever owned. Wait until you get it out on the hyway cruising at about 80 miles per hour and then step on it. When that tri-power opens up you are going to feel like you just got shot out of a cannon because of the way you are going to be pinned to your seat. Good luck with it! I really liked my 69' Coupe alot back then but out of all of the Vettes that I have owned it definetly was the hardest riding Vette out of the 5 Vettes that I have had.
Overall what kind of condition is the car in? What will you have to do to it to bring it up to a good standard? New interior, suspension freshening, brakes?? What kind of condition is the paint in?
car is in overall great condition, owner had it for 12 years and put about 3000 miles on it.Paint is 7.5 but I am going to put a couple of coats of lacquer over it,then cut and buff, the only thing wrong with the int. is drivers back of seat cracked,a little crack in console vinal ,windsheild is cracked, brakes are good, car does not leak or burn any oil, going to rejet and install gasket kits on the carbs, any ideas on jet size for 2500 feet elev.,average driving temps.,75 to 90 degrees?still trying to post pics.,Darryl
I did say I paid 32k for it,coast corvette rated the car from 1 to 5. paint was 4,frame 5,physical condition 4,suspention 4,body 5,trim 4,dash and gauges 4,I guess some people might think I paid to much, where are you going to find a L71 in this cond.,and then bicker the price down?how many are left?the guy was crying when I picked up the car!

I'm sorry I didn't remember seeing you paid 32k in your first post.
I was looking at a maroon coupe here in Tampa for $30-32 and once he realized the Barret-Jackson Auctions were approaching and got wind of the car's appreciating value, he pulled it off the market.
You could easily turn that car around for $40K+. Instead, hold onto it and enjoy the heck out of it driving.
there are two pics. to the link posted on the first thread ,just click on it,thats what I thought, the car was worth around 40,000.00,I have receipts and owners dating back to the original dealership,I am going to pull the gas tank I think Monday and take Pics.of the build sheet. What is the best way to take it off the tank?My corvette friend says a small paint brush and a little thinner and alot of patients,I just dont want to ruin it,thought about just taking pics. and leaving it there, but he says take pics.the whole way through the process and put it on a piece of cardboard, and seal with a seal a meal. Then put it in my fireproof safe, any suggestion? ,Darryl
