Default Removing shifter boot

Directions for removing shifter boot on 69 4sp appreciated. I removed the face plate and all visable screws but don't uderstand how to unclip the side (by drivers seat).

Suggestions / tips greatly appreciated.

If you are referring to the lower shift boot, all you need to do is remove all of the screws around the base of the boot and then move the boot towards the pass side of the car. The clip attaches to the drives side of the trans tunnel. it may be stuck, but if you have removed all of the screws there is nothing else holding it in.

Regards,

Jay

Default pretty easy .. really

Its pretty easy, just take it all apart. Its a neat little fix. I found a bunch of stuff I "needed" or wanted to replace after I took the console out. Its all just money in the end .. right?

I just pulled mine this week. Now I know why the car was cooler with the windows up. Just ordered a replacement and insulation. I hope to get it all back together by late next week.
