Well i went out for a nice cruise yesterday since completion of the car.I got off work, ttops off and went out,but 2 things i have trouble with ,cant read the display and need more speakers. The side pipes over power it,the bass is fine with the rockford fosgate amp and sub box with 2 - 8 inch dvc subs, but need more.I have 2 -6 inch rockfords in the kick panels and 2 in the dash but im gone to have to have more in the back too besides the subs.So which head unit you guys got that you can see when its sunny out and the ttops off.Ive already had a kenwood, pioneer and now this sony and the sony is the worse one yet. Also need remote with it too ,cant reach very good with the racing belts. So whats everyone got for a head unit with cd.
I replied to your post in the audio section just a little bit ago. My alpine has a face that can be tilted to four or five different angles to eliminate the glare. Also has a remote. Alpine

I need to take some pictures of mine, but an Alpine head unit similiar to yours is what I am using also.
Mine is a little older as a Alpine 7894, but any new models that play mp3s should have the rotating face. The biggest help with this head unit I have was the extra power over the shaft style radio I had before. Nothing like 4x60 watts compared to 4x6 watts.
Happy shopping, to many choices. I'm using a Pioneer head unit that is about 7 years old with remote. It's got a security unit built in and a bunch other features. It's cool when you park and turn off the car and it makes a beeping sound to say it's armed. If someone try to jack with it, it blast an high pitch noise through the speakers. It's also remote.
I'm thinking XM/Sirus next go round. I think they alone charge you $5 for an extra receiver.
