If youre asking a question, yes it changes gear twice. I didn't know if it was designed to shift three times. While I'm at it, have another issue. Actually two....
1. Had true duals installed last week, one side sounds different than the other, like a golf ball is stuck, and makes a fast puffing sound. The right side doesn't do this! Any idears?
2. Anyone have a diagram on window/regulator re-installation? Putting the beast back after a paint bath, ...it's getting there!
Hmm...my boyfriend probably can help you out with the xhaust question..Ill take a shot though (cause he isn't here right now)..
I know with dual pipes you get a low resonance sorta sound...and thats why people put in an H pipe or xcross pipe..which makes the exhaust so much smoother!
Do you have an h pipe or cross over pipe between the pipes?
Also, could a cylinder not be firing or something? Have you checked the spark plugs are all good?
Im sure forum members will be replying with some good help soon.

It could be a valve that isn't closing all the way. May need a valve job. The window regulator is a pain but if you take your time it isn't that bad. Get a manual to help you thru the process.

The Vette didn't get a 4-spd auto until 1982. And the 3 speed is awful -- no overdrive. It always feels like there should be another gear, but there ain't one.
The first thing I did when I bought mine was to install a 4-spd auto tranny. Check out www.2004r.com
